What?
Ledoyen
1 Avenue Dutuit
75008 Paris, France
The Good
This meal involved some absolutely stunning food priced at an attractive level thanks to the restaurant’s set lunch menu. The spaghetti with truffles (supplement), lychee dessert and kouign aman were out of this world. I will definitely be back to try a longer tasting menu at dinner when I am next in Paris.
The Bad
There were some unacceptable service gaffes at a restaurant of this level at the start of the meal, including issues with receiving menus, getting water for our table and some hostility from our server at my request to add the spaghetti with truffles course to my meal. However, these issues were not repeated and once the food started arriving at the table I was ready to forgive anything.
